Following our recent investigation into Havant U15s Youth Football Coach, Steve Clarke, he has been charged with improper conduct and of making comments deemed to be of a racist nature.


Our report exposing the activities of Clarke, a member of the Portsmouth Division of the racist English Defence League [EDL], and comments calling for all homosexuals to be murdered and "muzzies" [muslims] to be gagged was brought to the attention of Hampshire Football Association, who immediately took action launching an enquiry into our findings. 


The story also featured in the local paper, the Portsmouth News, who felt the accusations serious enough to splash it over their front page on 16 March.


Oddly we had received an apology from Clarke, 45, for making the comments shortly after running our initial story, so were somewhat bemused to read the web of dishonesty he presented to the local press as his defence, claiming his account on the Facebook social networking site had been hacked. As we revealed in our previous story, not only had he already apologised for the racist and homophobic comments that he then went on to deny, he also has a long history of activity in the far-right EDL, which he also denied. We published proof that he could not deny, exposing his big fibs.


Following our further revelations about Clarke, he then bombarded us with emails and messages, addressed to "Mohammed" [and he claims he isn't a racist] and making threats to the editorial team at Portsmouth Nazi Watch. Amusingly one such post even stated that "Steve is a good man"...which he then signed Steve Clarke.


Considering he bragged at the time of making the original offensive remarks "charged me and see if I care" he has now been charged...and now does appear to care. 


Please be aware that making bigoted comments online is neither big nor clever and can get you into serious hot water. Don't do it!

A YOUTH football team manager whose Facebook page had racist and homophobic comments on it has been charged by Hampshire Football Association.

Steve Clarke, who manages the under-15s squad at Havant & Waterlooville Youth FC, faces two charges. He is accused of improper conduct and of making comments deemed to be of a racist nature.


Hampshire FA and the Football Association last month launched an investigation after Havant & Waterlooville Youth FC passed on information regarding allegations made about Mr Clarke on an internet blog.


When he was approached by The News, Mr Clarke, from Havant, strongly denied making any racist or homophobic comments.

He said the only explanation he could think of for the comments appearing on his page was that his profile on the social networking website had been hacked. He told The News he no longer holds a Facebook account.

Mr Clarke, who has previously used an image of himself pictured with young players as his profile picture on Facebook, has been given until April 12 to respond to Hampshire FA about the two allegations.


A spokesman for Hampshire FA said: ‘He has got the choice of whether to plead guilty or not guilty.


‘He can either have the matter dealt with at a personal hearing or dealt with in his absence. If he requests a personal hearing, we have to give 14 days’ notice of the date of the hearing.


‘It all depends on how quickly he responds as to how quickly the case gets dealt with.


‘There isn’t a maximum penalty set down. It would be at the discretion of the panel that deals with it. It’s not something we deal with very often.’


Should Mr Clarke decide to opt for a personal hearing, it could be held before a four-strong disciplinary panel.


The panel would consist of specially-trained members from across the county who would be charged with considering the allegations made against Mr Clarke. The case could either be dealt with at county level or by the national FA.


The News tried to contact Mr Clarke, but he was unavailable for comment.


A Havant & Waterlooville Youth FC spokeswoman said the club was unable to comment at this stage. The youth football club has no links with Havant & Waterlooville FC – who are also known as the Hawks.

Following our last investigation into the behaviour of EDL Youth Football Coach Steve Clarke we received emails from Clarke's wife pointing out that neither herself or her teenage children were responsible for the vile and insidious views posted by her husband. For this reason we decided to make the unprecedented decision to suspend our site temporarily to give Clarke the chance to put his own house  in order and apologise for his behaviour and comments.


Unlike the nasty and evil elements who run groups like the the English Defence League [EDL] and British National Party [BNP] our aim has never been to persecute or harass innocent men, women or children so we chose to give Clark a chance: we would remove the story and replace it with his apology and complete retraction of the comments he had previously made, for the sake of his wife and kids.


We did receive a vague kind of apology cloaked in the "I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are black" irony popular amongst these people. We were going to leave it at that. However, Portsmouth Evening News ran with our initial story and made in their front page story on Friday. What astonished us was Clarke's new claims that the comments he apologised to us for making...were now never made by him!!! He is claiming his account was hacked and he never made the homophobic and racist comments that he has already apologised for making! 


Although he then goes on to admit "I do think that two gay people is wrong. It’s my own feeling." He clearly needs to look up the word "homophobia" in a dictionary. We also emailed Clarke encouraging him to take a Diversity course because his views really are sickening and unacceptable in this day and age.


In the front page story Clarke "strongly denies making the offensive comments about Muslims and homosexuals and says the only explanation he can think of is that his profile on the social networking website was hacked."


However, in the apology he sent Portsmouth Nazi Watch on 9th March he states "I did make comments regarding homosexuals but it was just joking between friends" and "The comment about all muslims should be gagged has been taken seriously out of context." We are unsure, as we provided an unedited screen cap of the comment, how it could be taken out of context. We even stated it was from the Facebook page of Portsmouth EDL.


Clark get's himself into even deeper hot water. Clarke told the The News "he had attended meetings of the English Defence League in Portsmouth after being invited along. But he says he stopped attending after two meetings as he believed there was squabbling within the groups and that he is not a member of the organisation."


Again this is total fiction. Clarke first came to our attention in the run-up to the EDL's demonstration in Portsmouth, in July of last year. He had made posts promoting the event, and had even posted on the wall of an unauthorised "Portsmouth FC EDL" Facebook group stating people should not join this but rather the official Portsmouth EDL group.


It strikes us as a little odd that eight months later he decides to post his comment, on 3rd February 2012, urging that "muzzies [muslims] should be gagged" on the group wall for an organisation he is claiming not to support or be a member of. But his involvement in the far-right group goes back even further than we thought!


It came as little surprise when it surfaced that Clarke was screen capped by our friends at EDLNews actually organising an EDL event himself and promoting it in January of last year!!!

We have also received Screen Caps of Clarke's comments on the social networking site from our friends at Nazis Not Welcome. Clarke 'likes' his friend's comment "burn the ragheads" :

Please note the comment by Paul Lock, leader of Southampton EDL, which ends in the neo-nazi sign off "ns" standing for "no surrender".

Clark believes "ordinary muslims" should "stay indoors"  and accept the intimidation of EDL thugs, which makes a mockery of his claim that he is "against muslim extremism, not decent

law abiding muslims..."

Clarke then ends his 'apology' by claiming that,
"i DO NOT preach any racist or homophobic ideology to anyone and certainly not children."

This is despite the fact the screen caps, amongst many others we have from Clarke, were all posted by himself, on his own Facebook profile (now deactivated), in full view of every single member of the Under-15s Football team, who were all on his friends list.

So, it all comes as a strange little riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, as to why Steve Clarke apologised for comments he now claims he never made and denies membership of a group he has actively promoted and involved with for well-over a year. We at Portsmouth Nazi watch believe someone is a lickle liar...

To the editor of Portsmouth Nazi watch:

I did make comments regarding homosexuals but it was just joking

between friends, of course i dont think all gays should be murdered,

we have a gay cousin who is due to be married very shortly, i will be

attending this wedding with my wife. We also have gay friends and i

also work with gay people. I APOLOGISE to those who have been offended

by my comments.

The comment about all muslims should be gagged has been taken

seriously out of context, i am against muslim extremism, not decent

law abiding muslims and this is the reason i attended two EDL

meetings. Some of their views i agreed with and some i didnt, i do not

know anyone on a personal basis from this group and have not attended

any more meetings. I APOLOGISE to any law abiding muslims who have

been offended by these comments. I am not a racist person, i have a

niece of ethnic origin, my best man was an African and i have friends

from many different Nationalities. Everyone who knows me personally

would agree that i am not the person this article has made me out to

be.

I have deleted my Facebook account as this has made me realise that

the internet can be a very nasty and obtrusive place with contexts

taken very seriously and the wrong way by some members of our

community. I would like to state that i DO NOT preach any racist or

homophobic ideology to anyone and certainly not children.

Please Note: Since our previous article was published we have been contacted by Havant & Waterlooville Football Club Ltd who would like us to make it clear that whilst the Under-15s team coached by Clarke plays under the same name it is no way, shape or form connected with the Official HAWKS Club. We are happy to publish this correction and issue an unreserved apology for any confusion caused. A spokesman for the club stated:

"The  gentleman in question is part of Havant and Waterlooville Boys Club set-up which is a completely seperate organisation from the Hawks who operate just three teams. A semi-professional Mens team in the Blue Square South, an U-19 side in the Conference Youth League and a Ladies team.

"We do not wish to be associated with the article which undoubtedly relies heavily on the insinuation that it is the Hawks who employ this moron. The Club runs a successful "Hawks in the Community" scheme which is completely non-discriminatory...My club has been embarrassed by this insinuation that his team is part of my club and would ask that you make clear that the Boys Club is a completely separate organisation who we have no control over whatsoever. They use our name but do not even play in our colours."

Portsmouth Nazi Watch were disgusted to be forwarded the comments being made by 45-year-old Portsmouth Water supervisor Steven Clarke, a Leigh Park member of Portsmouth North East Division of the English Defence League [EDL].


Our disgust turned to shock when we discovered this diminutive ex-657 crew football hooligan has been allowed to propagate and spread his insidious and vile views to impressionable young boys as young as NINE...as an official youth coach for Havant & Waterlooville Football Club.


We were astonished to find these views being openly spouted to young lads in the HAWKS Under 15s youth team by right-wing bigot and EDL member, Clarke, left, and have been left unchallenged since he took over the role several years ago when these boys, as young as NINE, came under his tutelage.


Clarke, who was suspended from his coaching position with young children in 2011 after being accused of assault against a minor, resumed his position earlier this year.


Claims by the far-right EDL that they are not homophobic are ripped apart by the obscene views of yet another member of their thuggish group.

 

We realised something was very, very seriously wrong when we read Clarke's views on the Gay members of our community. It reads like a Nazi Policy paper...

Yes, you are reading it right, as are the young lads he is in charge of, who look up to him and expect him to behave as a role model in his role as the coach of the Havant & Waterlooville Football Club Under 15s team. He beliefs all gay people are "disgusting and wrong" and "all gays should be put down". Clarke uses his Facebook page to organise coaching sessions, friendly games, training sessions and offer out advice to these teen footballers before and after the games. He also uses it to suggest, as above, that all homosexuals should be murdered and that all "muslims" are scum.


Well Herr Fuhrer Clarke, you challenged us to "charge me and see if I care". Well, not being the CPS we can't charge you, but what we can do is expose your reprehensible, disgusting, immoral, illegal dogma to the world...as requested we expose your vile and shitty views and hope the Crown Prosecution Service will do their job.


If Steve Clarke held these views privately that would make him a pretty sad and sick individual, and certainly not the sort of person any customer of Portsmouth Water would want knocking on their front door, but the fact he actually promotes this disgraceful homophobic ideology directly in front of the impressionable young lads who he is there to mentor, nuture and protect is disgraceful. What do Havant & Waterlooville Football Club think they are doing letting this nasty nazi anywhere near our children?!? He has been in charge of this impressionable group of young boys for four years, since they were 9, 10 or 11 years old.

His views against every Muslim are well known locally, as is his membership of the far-right racist EDL. "Militant Islam"? No our diminiutative nazi boy hates ALL "muzzies":

What makes his vile and disgusting views even more untentable is his proud and repeated boasts about his time as a violent football hooligan in the infamous Portsmouth 6.57 Crew...again openly in front of the children he has been left in charge of by unsuspecting parents:

Clarke dismisses only 50 Chelsea fans "who would stand" (ie fight). They are MUGS for not having the "bottle" to fight. Remember this is the coach of an under-15s football team discussing this openly in front of the kids he is suppose to be in charge of and a role model to...

Clarke despise the fact they threw stones instead of going "toe to toe" ie having a good ruck.


We now have so much information on file about this unpleasant individual we are not sure what to use. But this reveals a very ugly side to both the people Portsmouth Water allow into our homes and a vile bigot and fascist Havant & Waterlooville Football Club allow to be in charge of our children!!!
